What is The Fertile Garden?

The Fertile Garden is centered around growing, preparing and eating foods that balance your hormones. All for the sake of healing your body and living a vibrant life!

On my journey to a healthy cycle, I have not only healed from hormonal imbalance but have improved my health overall. Now in my mid-30’s I have more energy than I have in years!

And while I am not a licensed expert or nutritionist. I will be sharing my personal journey and what I have learned as I went from feeling as though I was barely surviving my cycle every month – to fully thriving in my womanhood!

Balancing My Hormones and Healing my Body

For more than 6-years I struggled with adrenal fatigue, imbalanced hormones, excruciating periods and PMS. For a few days every month I was fully incapacitated, taking loads of painkillers and too much wine. (unknowingly making the problem far worse!) 

For the rest of the month I struggled with a lot of other typical symptoms of hormone imbalance – insomnia, body aches, joint pain and moodiness.

In 2021, at the age of 32 I started to lose hope that I would be highly active in my later years. But deep down, I knew that there had to be something I could do to heal my body. There had to be a way to have a life filled with energy – without prescription pills and hormonal birth control. 

So I started learning everything I could about how to truly nurture my body in a way that supports its natural cycles and rhythms. I dedicated all of my spare time to learning about gardening, nutrition, and learning to grow my own hormone balancing foods. Now, 2 years later my periods are painless, I have improved sleep, fewer mood swings, and an overall healthier body! I’m even running again!

Most importantly, this full transformation was without any pharmaceutical medication. With a holistic healthy approach I made proper lifestyle changes to heal my body, while also improving my fertility and vitality.

The Garden

The unique part of my journey to healing my adrenals and balancing my hormones, has to do with the garden. Not only slowing down and connecting with nature. But learning how closely the food we eat impacts our hormonal balance.

You may (or may not) find it surprising that the standard American diet and lifestyle is packed full of carcinogens, additives, pesticides and other hormone disruptors. Learning about the impact pesticides have on our fertility and hormonal balance, is when I got serious about not only eating organic, but growing my own organic food. 

Let me teach you how, regardless of what little time, space and money you have. You too can grow your own hormone balancing foods!
